"On Valentine’s Day 2006, Northwest recording artist Michael Allen Harrison lead the way to an evening filled with the sights, sounds and tastes of chocolate! "Expressions of Chocolate," a benefit for childhood cancer, featured music from Michael’s magnificent CD, "Expressions of Chocolate", accompanied by creative dance performances by Portland’s Polaris Dance Theater. Under the artistic direction of Robert Guitron, Polaris Dance Theatre interpreted the richness of the music created by Michael Allen Harrison and inspired by the artistry of chocolatier Bernard Callebaut. Each member of the audience sampled exquisite handmade Bernard C. Chocolates as they took in the beauty of the show.

"Expressions of Chocolate" was organized by a volunteer committee led by Shelley Jackson, mother of Taylor. Taylor was diagnosed with Leukemia the week of Valentine’s Day, 2004. Nearly two years later, her treatments continue, and the outlook is promising. After meeting the Jackson family, Michael Harrison was inspired to create an event that would raise funds to help fight childhood cancer and support the families that walk through those difficult times. "Expressions of Chocolate" embraces the sweetness of life and the pleasures of a much celebrated confection.
