In January 2009 we leased a 4,900 square foot warehouse space in downtown Portland and immediately set to work converting it into a world-class dance studio. Just 3 weeks later and with the help of 28 incredibly dedicated volunteers, the empty space was transformed. Polaris Contemporary Dance Center officially opened its doors to the public on February 9th to a full schedule of classes.

The facility offers:
• 2 dance studios with state-of-the-art flooring and aerial equipment
• Yoga / Conditioning room
• Revolutionary All Access room for people of mixed abilities

This incredible accomplishment was made possible by the generous help of private donations from the community, a generous anonymous donor and, of course, our volunteers and dancers.
